Lockwood's Pumpkin Fest

During my time as a Graphic Designer for the Rockford Park District, I was tasked with a complete logo redesign of Lockwood Park's Halloween event, newly dubbed "Pumpkin Fest". This is a multi-week event that caters to families and small children, and so I hoped to create something playful and inviting that is representative of the event itself. My solution was to first create the illustrated pumpkin you'll see below, with some flat vector shading and playful linework in the vines. The "Pumpkin Fest" lettering is inspired by shapes carved out of a pumpkin, and I was sure to add the matching shading and bold outline. To match the winding vines, I played around with the arrangement of the letters (in both a stacked and horizontal style) until I found something that felt both fun and structured.
